Cartier Roadster Chronograph on the flight

Upon check-in at the Pestana, we were given our itineraries, room keys and some time to freshen up before convening at the pool veranda for a few pitchers of sangria and chatter in multiple languages. Watches were passed around the table (including an IWC GST Perpetual Calendar that I am scheming to make off with) old acquaintances refreshed and new ones forged.Strolling the grounds of the Pestana Palace, one gets a glimpse of how the Marquis of Valle Flor once lived, with manicured gardens of subtropical plants, sitting rooms, some large, some intimate and a chapel that will seat 40 people. Art hangs throughout the palace and wandering tourists with cameras and placards with historical information remind you that this is more than a hotel, it's a historical monument.This evening I had the opportunity to sit down with Cartier Roadster Chronograph Mario Klein, Product Manager for IWC.

Arriving jetlag-addled and missing my luggage, the Pestana Palace in Lisbon was a sight for sore eyes. The hotel sits on a hilltop above Lisbon, in a nineteenth century palace.
